Ethan is an experienced professional with a diverse background in both Information Technology and Hospitality. Originally graduated with a Computer Science degree from the University of Wollongong, Australia, he worked half a decade in supply chain management designing client business solutions to maximize efficiency.
After he discovered his newly found passion for travel, he took a gap year to complete his Masters Degree in Hospitality Management from Cornell University. Consequently, he has worked in several capacities in a Fortune 500 multi-national hotel management company. His key disciplines: optimising hotel distribution, global brand development & management and leading hotel executive teams to develop their pre-opening positioning and commercial plans.
He has an eye for identifying bottlenecks and building impactful solutions to ramp up business performance.
He passionately traveled the world during his studies and worked abroad in several countries across continents and has naturally picked up several languages along the way. He speaks English, Mandarin, 2 regional Mandarin dialects and always working on his Japanese, Thai and Dutch.
Originally from Singapore, his favorite past-time is uncovering the hidden gems in cities to find the best restaurants and bars for different occasions. If not, you will find him reading about new technologies that will soon sweep the globe or hooked up to his favorite soundtracks while running outdoors.
